Ready to do what it takes!

I'm 59, and have been carrying at least a FEW extra pounds since my teens. Three grandkids are motivation enough to stay healthy, keep up with them and watch them grow ....

The cooler weather has slowed my walking down and I'm feeling the need for more support and accountability to keep my success going. Thanks, Rebcca, for turning me on to Spark People! I LOVE reading everyone's profiles and I'm especially inspired by seeing before/after images on them.......hint, hint!

This is a sedentery pursuit that has helped my body expand steadily since I retired from my animal welfare career 13 years ago.

Time to make a few changes.........

I also love otters, most dogs, the 12 fish in our pond, photography, and I listen to lots of audio books while I make beads.

I'm an old hippie at heart and have a soft place in my heart for the beautiful people of Ethiopia. See info about the HOPE Bracelet Project on my website.

"Beautiful Woman Award! Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the wall of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out"

Saw your avatar on a friend's page. Just had to stop by and tell you beautiful I thought it was!

Thank you for the most thoughtful 'cup of tea' goodie. Just what I needed after dealing with (now resolved)* slight flood issue this morning. *I love Garvin's!
See you tomorrow for 'strengthening' fun!!

Thanks for the Easter Basket Cindy! I just took out an article on using natural dyes for eggs 20 minutes ago:) Am going to try tumeric, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, beets and whatever else I find. Will post pics when they are done.
Did you notice we got a new Arvada member this morning? Off to the barn - see ya.
