I am doing a major overhaul of everything right now. One thing that has to go is spending so much time here on SP. I have noticed immediately when I made SP SMALLER again, it is now more than manageable! I started with a smaller group, that is what I need. I will get back to everyone as soon as I can, but I can make no guarantees as to when I will check in. I have pared down my teams to the bare minimum. I have also minimized my SP friends list so that I can actually keep up. I cannot ...

My Goals:
I am SIMPLIFYING!

I want to get back to a toned 150#.

To do the GVH Mudslog (8 miles trail race with obstacles) in Sept./Oct. 2014.

To get back to feeling GOOD running! To do what I love and love what I do...Trail running! Being outside! Camping, hiking, swimming!

My Program:
I will not try and over-reach this year on my fitness goals. I strive to be active, but I am not going to push too hard. I want to ideally run 3x a week and do ST 3x a week, and yoga sometimes, but I am not going to beat myself up about it anymore.

Personal Information:
Married, no kids, have 3 cats and a 1 year old Fox Red Lab named Charlie.

My dog of 12 years passed away July 2, 2012. Our new "baby" Charlie came home 10/5/12!

I live in upsate NY near Rochester.

Other Information:
I quit smoking after 20 years in June 2009! I feel a lot better, but everything that was supposed to get better didn't. I was a hardcore addict and this was a really difficult process for me! Everything seemed to go down hill for me after that health wise. I would not go back though!

Hi Cindy,
Looks like we are in sync TOM-wise and out of sync travel-wise! emoticon That date in Oct. happens to be my daughter's 12th birthday, and we have promised her a trip to Great Wolf Lodge. Ugh! Otherwise I totally would have wanted to see if I could get in on your Fleetwood Mac outing, and would have insisted you stay here! Let's keep looking for dates that work. Gonna happen eventually!
The Kingston/Gan dates you mentioned a while back now look a little late for us. My daughter's 3-week science school thing ends on the 20th, which is earlier than usual, and we pretty much need to head right back to TO. I think that puts us about 5 days out of sync. But it's not out of the question. As I think I mentioned, we will owe my in-laws a visit by then, so if the timing works out, I will definitely try to arrange a stopover in Kingston en route to or from Ottawa.
We'll make it happen sometime!

I have 2 friends who've always had multiple dogs and cats in the house at the same time and NEVER had them do this bonding thing.

I know it happens because I've seen cute photos/ videos online but I never knew anybody who had them :)

You make 2!

Hi Cindy,
I can definitely relate about not combining obstacle courses and dog walking. I also have a dog that will pull enough to make me slip on gravel. He is totally oblivious to pressure on his collar or any other device. The only way to walk him without pulling is with food in hand, LOL.

Hi Cindy! I saw your comment just before leaving for Syracuse and thought of you the whole way there and back, but knew there was going to be zero opportunity to meet. It was a very targeted trip with two objectives: to get my daughter and her friend from Irish dance through their feis, and to find a Gr. 6 grad dress for same DD. I was driving there and back and we were staying with that friend and her Mom, so I had even less opportunity for anything outside of dance + malls. We left Saturday afternoon and came back Sunday night after spending 7 hours at the feis and quickly hitting Destiny USA on the way home, where we found not one but two amazing grad dresses at Macy's, for 70% off. So it was a successful trip, but all too quick, and super draining. I feel like I am still recovering! I am sorry there was no good opportunity to meet up this time around, and I really, really look forward to making it happen next time, when it is just me and my daughter and no friends wanting to get home ASAP.
Just read your new intro and applaud you for setting limits on your SP time. As you know, I have had to do the same. But I repeat: I will always look forward to hearing from you, no matter how long it's been!!

Hi Cindy,

I'm so glad you found out it's a problem only after midnight with your computer issues. Or I should say SP issues. I haven't noticed any issue like that yet, so thank you for the heads up!

I see you changed up your page. I read your new intro and I think you're smart to limit your time on here. I've had to watch it myself lately. It can get addictive. I'm doing so much research all over the web, not just SP, but it has to be done right now. After I have what I need, then I can drop back and use what I've gathered. I'm just in this phase right now for another few days and then I feel like I can focus on other things in my life. Like.... working out!
emoticon

I hope you're having a great weekend. I like your background photo. Is that the woods you hike in? It looks so peaceful.
