I am in my late thirties and have been a yo-yo dieter for the last 15+ years! The first time I hit 180, I told myself never again and got down to 158. Then the first time I hit 190, I told myself never again, and got back down to 178. Then I hit an all time high of 214!!! And I told myself simply that I needed to make a change in my life! I had joined spark people almost a year earlier, but never really used the site except for the calorie counter every once in a while. Even with that number looming over me, I still didn't become an active participant until the Christmas of 2009. I had trained and run my first Half Marathon in November, and had gotten down to 198, but knew that to reach my goal of a healthier lifestyle, I would need more. More resources, more support, more encouragement! So I came back to SparkPeople, and it has made all the difference in the world! I am happier, I am healthier, I am smaller!
But my original message to myself still rings true:
With this, I am making a promise to myself. I will take care of myself, I will make myself into a better person, I will feel good about myself - no matter what!
This is more than just a resolution, this is MY LIFE!

    Hey girl!!! Thanks so much for dropping by my page!!! Things have 'stabilized' so... things are what they are... living at home and STRUGGLING so much with my food!!! How has that been going for you lately??? I can workout if I make myself, but I NEVER seem to lose anything. I just can't seem to get the dedication to get back to where I was (or anywhere near)!
