Hello! Here I go again, but THIS time I mean it!!
My name is Suzy - I live in the Natomas area with a small dog I found on the street in January and named Tiuy. Note to self: never give a stray a name you might not want to live with long term, on the basis that the owners will be found any day.
As much as I love where I live, I am sorry to say I have gained 5 pounds per year the 7 years I have lived here, as I no longer walk a lot of places, and yet I still enjoy my glass or three of wine in the evenings! Now 5 pounds doesn't sound bad, but 5X7 sure adds up...and I seem to be having a heck of a time dropping any of them at all. I've South Beached (dropped 8 pounds, gained 'em all back plus 5); Weight Watchered (dropped 10 pounds, gained 'em all back plus 5)....you see the pattern.
I actually enjoy a lot of exercise options but seem to have gotten myself into a nasty habit of working most every waking moment, then being too tired when I finally wander home. Nonsense of course!
But there we are.
Lose 5 pounds. And then do it again a bunch of times. The real goal is 130 but don't tell the turtle, because he will be too intimidated.
Program under construction. My turtle is moving the wrong direction (started Spark at 156 lbs) and it is time for a new program. Stay tuned.

Suzy, thanks for the encouragement. I know I'm not always the most active sparkfriend, it's nice to come "home". And I looked a the fitbit and if it was in our budget I would be interested in getting one...

Thanks for checking in on me, Suzy. I'm up and down. I'm trying to be a substitute teacher but, with some paperwork snafus, I can't sub in the Sacramento City district until at least Fall (and I'll have moved to Red Bluff by then). I'm employed as a sub for the San Juan district but, with living in Elk Grove dropping off my daughter in South Sac...I need a little more notice than most if I'm going to do an early start job..
On a bright note, I have a booth at an art/craft show in Granite Bay this weekend. It's been forever since I did one of these.
We're slowly moving the little one and I up north. Hubby will have to commute for a couple/few years yet but Bug and I are moving up before she starts third grade in the fall. I miss it more every time I leave it.
