Developing a Healthier Lifestyle

Hi, I’m Clare. I joined Sparks in August of 2006. I have been on and off though these last few years. I've decided I need to get back on the wagon and get this weight off I gained and I believe in Sparks to help me do it a healthy way. Did it before, and we will do it again. I enjoy the “Sparks Life” because I like being on teams that involve challenges and they help me be accountable so I can stay on that “ journey” of healthy living. I enjoy the “Sparks Life” because I like being on teams that involve challenges and they help me be accountable so I can stay on that “ journey” of healthy living. My favorite exercise is working out with Leslie Sansone “Walk at Home” dvds, which I like doing in the mornings before I go to work. I am a grandmother of 5 granddaughters, 2 step granddaughter, 2 step grandsons and 2 great grandsons. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with family and working in vegetable garden in the summer months. I have lately gotten interested in doing loom knitting and crocheting but that involves a lot of time sitting and so does my job so I MUST, MUST get tracking my veggies, water, and exercise. My Goals:
To feel energetic. To firm up my tummy. Choose to cook and shop wisely for healthier foods by making better substitutions from what we use to eat.

My Program:
Eat 3 veggies-2 fruits per day, whole grains 2X/day, keep sodium in range, exercise 6x wk, 2x strength train/wk and drink 6-8 glasses of water every day.

Other Information:
I like gardening, a good movie, christian music, "Oldies" rock n' roll, classic country, singing, and photoscrapping. I like to collect lighthouses and most of all I love spending time with family.

Merry Christmas in JULY!!!! Tomorrow on July 25th, the Weight Watcher Team will be celebrating Christmas! It will be time to give ourselves our "gifts" of better health --- either with better habits, losing the pounds we pledged earlier this month, drinking water, eating veggies --- whatever "gifts" you've been working toward!!! Hopefully we all have something to celebrate b/c we worked hard all month toward earning our "gifts" ---- make sure you stop by the Team Page and give an update on how you're doing with our FLYING HIGH through JULY challenge!!!!

Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy "Holiday" on July 25th!!! And we still have another 6 days left in the month to keep on FLYING HIGH!!! We CAN do this ---- let's make it happen!
