Fam,Faith,andFit!

I've already lost 43 lbs just by running/jogging. I LOVE my new body, but think a little portion control, in addition to my exercise, could take off a few more pounds to get me to my target weight. I love the feeling of being in control of what I eat and do. I have a loving husband who has loved my body at every stage, but who is delighted by the change in me, all the same. My three wonderful boppin' boys keep me running.

My Goals:
Lose 17 pounds.
Log food in and exercise every day!


My Program:
I exercise 5 days per week or 15 miles jogging/running. That's the easy part. I've been doing that for 3 years. Now I log every bite of food I take in, too.

Personal Information:
I live in Utah and play French Horn in the Orchestra at Temple Square. I'm very politically active, working to preserve the amazing liberties we enjoy in the USA. I work hard to raise hard-working boys. I practice violin with my boys 6 days/week. I'm an excellent cook. Go figure I need to lose a few pounds.

emoticon Your goals to enjoy only the carbs you love best is great! That's why I've pretty much given up pie for life. I used to eat it because it was there. Now I realize I don't really like it, so why eat it? It's definitely not even worth the calories, let alone all the other bad stuff it does to me. I think it's great that you are giving yourself a goal that's right for YOU. Keep up the great work! emoticon

I read your post about multi-level marketing schemes & I had to go to your spark page. I am looking for a job right now & I don't know how many times I have been approached by these groups in the past 6 months. I have even gone to job interviews for my field & found out that they were a multi-marketing pitch! I hope we can enjoy each other's posts!

I recognized some of the FLylady terminology in one of your posts. You commented on a thread about flinging junk food or something of that nature. :) I also use some of her stuff - not all of it - I am into picking parts of home/life organization methods that work for me and using them together.
