This is my time to shine! I got this!!!

My name is Amy and I am a single mother of a 4 year old little boy. I work full time for AAA. When I have down time, I enjoy reading, crocheting, watching movies, taking walks, spending time outdoors, singing karaoke, and relaxing!

I have struggled with my weight all my life. I have issues with binge eating. Over the years I have gained and lost many many pounds. I have realized that my health needs to be front and center in my life. That being said, I have refocused my priorities, and have commited to eating right and getting in as much physical activity as possible every day.

I have re-evaluated my weight loss goals. I have a tendency to go crazy with healthy eating and exercise for a few weeks, and then it begins to taper off, after I have lost a few pounds. Of course I always end up gaining it back. I have decided this time around to set mini goals, instead of looking at the big picture. I think smaller goals within a smaller time frame will be easier to stick with, and will make my long term goal more attainable!


Here are my goals for 2015:
1. find time for AT LEAST 30 mins of fitness per day, whether that be walking outside, going to the gym, or doing fitness videos at home.

2. Drink (and track) 8+ cups of water daily. I have noticed for quite awhile now that my skin is dry, (more than it should be during the winter) and I seem to have a slump of energy during the afternoon. I really think that drinking more water will help with both of these issues.

3. Aim for a 2lb/week weight loss. Slow and steady.

4. Be more mindful of what I am eating. Stop eating when I'm not hungry. Eliminate fast food and pop. Cut portion sizes.

My Program:
To be concious of what I am eating, stay within a reasonable calorie range each day, and eat healthy foods. To be physically active for at least 30 minutes a day!

I didn't see this comment on your page right away about Valentine's Day lol. Mine was good, it was just me and the girls home. He was working away. He brought me my gift this weekend, which was honey smoked sockeye salmon that I love from a store in the town close to where he was working. I ordered him truffles from a place we went in deadwood SD called chubby chipmunk...they are sooo good, so I just ordered him 3 of them since we are on this healthy eating journey. Then we went out to eat at a steakhouse on Saturday and I ate not so good and had three glasses of wine even though I hardly ever drink lol.

I am about two hours south of Canada in Northern Minnesota lol. Usually there would be more snow at this time of year, but there have been several weeks at below zero and with the wind chill it's been several days of -40 this year. So not warm enough to snow as much. I was happy to see snow yesterday, but it was a white out blizzard and then it turned wicked cold again today, so no sledding for us today lol.
