Hi, I'm Christy. I'm 27 and live in VA. I've been on Spark since October 2011, but have not been as committed as I'd like to be. I'm working on making healthy eating and exercise into a habit. I ran my first half marathon last spring and am looking to find a weekly workout routine where I won't get bored. I am highly motivated by beating my own PRs, so my rewards are all based on fitness accomplishments.

I ran my first half marathon last spring and am looking to find a weekly workout routine where I won't get bored. I am highly motivated by beating my own PRs, so my rewards are all based on fitness accomplishments.

Right now, I'm starting a 15 minutes of daily exercise streak! My previous 10 minutes of daily exercise streak died after 225 days. I'm hoping to make it until the end of May and then, who knows!


Goals:
**15 minutes a day exercise streak- May (reward- new sports bra!)
**Do 50 consecutive pushups (Reward- use my massage gift certificate)


Previous goals: (It helps to see these and see how far I've come, especially when I need motivation!)
Without stopping...
**Run 1 mile- Accomplished 6.18.12!
**Run 2 miles (Reward- new running shorts): Accomplished 7.3.12!
**Run 3 miles (Reward- new hiking shorts): Accomplished 9.2.12!
**Run 4 miles (Reward- jeans- $3 at the thrift store!): Accomplished 9.8.12!
**Run 5 miles- (Reward- ??)Accomplished 9.30.12!
**Run 6 miles (Reward- Sign up for my 1st 1/2 Marathon- April 14, 2013!)- Accomplished 10.11.12!

hey, thanks so much for your comments on my blog...life is life. As for the coworker, she's at a higher level than me but I've actually been there longer--I basically hired her! guess I did a good job considering shes so favored.

Good suggestions about splitting the holidays...we'll see!

I saw you did some hiking recently, where did you go? looking forward to a blog about it :)

Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog! YES lol it is! They had plenty of copies of the Goonies in the hotel lobby for that reason! It was kind of cool for the boys too since they recently got interested enough to watch a movie "that old" because of the episode of the Goldbergs! emoticon

And thanks. Yes I know I will survive. Just trying to not lose my focus among the chaos is all. emoticon

No worries at all, lol. I totally get it. I'm still hopeful for a shared race one day! :D I'm going to try and test my knee out a bit more today and shoot for a 10k long run. Wish me luck!
