My Goals:
I will get to the healthiest weight and fitness level of my adult life and maintain it for the rest of my life.

My Program:
i'm a RUNNER! after two years of sticking to it, I feel justified in using that word to describe myself. my mileage varies according to my schedule, but right now I am trying to do 12 miles a week, and work up to 16 over time. ultimate goal is to do half marathons. I use podrunner for my training and recommend it highly.

i live in northern indiana

Other Information:
i am an individualist person--self directed and somewhat solitary. Love the outdoors and the company of plants and animals. Married for what seems like forever to my true soulmate and feel very blessed to have found him. Love to work with my hands and spend most of my time sunburnt and dirty.

I am suppose to take rest days and I get real uncomfortable when I do. Antsey, nervous, restless leg feeling. I know my body needs to recover. My sleep hasn't been the best lately and thats one of the signs of over doing it. 8 hours of sleep and was awake 3 times and restless 8 times. Any suggestions of rest days and getting better sleep?

Thanks so much for your words of wisdom. So nice to get feed back from someone who has some experience. I have been reading Bob Glover's running book and had just gotten to the part about visualization. I do enjoy meditation so I think before the next race I will be able to do that more. Take the thoughts and feeling from a good race and implant the in my brain. Next race will be in my home town so I will get better sleep and will make sure not to hit the ice cream the day before. Now back to the real world with laundry!
