So sorry that I am just getting back to you. YES...it is normal. We get all excited to hear from them and usually feel a little let down by the time we get off the phone. They have so much going on that they don't have as much "free" time to focus on how much they miss us. We on the other hand focus on it night and day. lol! Don't worry...just act happy on the phone keep it light and don't ask him a million times if something is wrong. (from experience lol!) There might be absolutely nothing wrong between you two, but you will start driving him crazy. Have THAT t-shirt. lol!
Also, it may have been a horrible day of training and me doesn't want to talk about it because someone could over hear and he get in a lot of trouble.
You are doing great! He will be excited to see you when you go to TX. When you go remember to not go over board and drees unlike yourself, because he will be wanting to see "his" you not you acting out of your noraml character.
