I'm 31 and happily married as of October 7, 2012. I lost 33 lbs with SparkPeople in 2012, making me the healthiest I've ever been in my adult life. Life has been crazy since then and I regained a significant amount of weight.
In 2017 I am taking control not just of my weight but of my health, both physically and mentally. I am waging war against anxiety, depression, and obesity!
I want to be able to hike the amazing Smokies without being worn out, even when carrying 35 lbs of camera equipment. I want to take up running and complete some of the amazing races that are out there, such as the Disney Princess Fun Run!
I am making consciously healthy diet choices. Because I am first focusing on healthy weight loss, I am eating a calorie-restricted diet of between 1200 and 1500 calories daily. I achieve this by eating smaller portions, swapping out ingredients in my favorite recipes with lower calorie substitutes, and snacking on healthy things like fruit to keep from overeating at meal time.
My name is Kat and I live in the Dayton, Ohio area with my husband our 3 cats, and a white German Shepherd. I'm self-employed as a portrait photographer and am a student at The Ohio State University.
I love riding roller coasters (have ridden over 300 different ones!), traveling, hiking, and taking photos.
