Hello and Welcome!

Hi! Thanks for coming to visit my page. My name is Kathy. I'm 28 and have a truly wonderful husband and 2 beautiful, amazing little boys.

Before finding out I was pregnant with my first, I had lost nearly 40 pounds with Spark! I'm looking forward to doing it again. I still carry a lot of baby weight from the first, I never lost it before having the second baby.

Currently, my overall goal is to lose 55 pounds and get down to 175. But, I'll celebrate the mini-successes ...

My Program:
I am starting my workouts slowly. I have committed to 20 minutes on the elliptical 5 days a week.

I'd like to add fitness videos and a running program when I build up my endurance.

Personal Information:
I am a stay-at-home mom, but a far cry from Betty Crocker or Martha Stewart.

I was a teacher before and will always be a teacher at heart. I adore kids.

I've always wanted to write a book, but I never tried.

I love photography and have a great DSLR, but I rarely use it.

I spend far too much time using my phone.

I cried when I crossed the finish line of my first 5K race.

People disappear for all sorts of reasons. Life gets in the way, we forget or change our views on what we deem is important, we get buried under stress, frustration, illness. We sometimes give up, throw in the towel, or just promise ourselves that once things get better/easier/calmer, we will hitch up our socks and come back fresh. We've all done it. We've all been there. And if perhaps, you just need a supportive hug, or a helping hand or a word of inspiration, please know that I am offering it to you with no judgment, no guilt. It seems like it's been a while since you've been here and I just wanted to let you know that you are missed.

“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow.” -Mary Anne Radmacher
“All our dreams can come true – if we have the courage to pursue them.” –Walt Disney

I know I'm a couple days early, but I may not have time to post on the weekend, so...

~~ If only for today: smile a little more, sing a bit off key, laugh loudly and long, dance, skip, jump, play. Eat with your hands, hug every kind soul that crosses your path. Finger-paint, face-paint, body-paint. Do something brave. Squash a fear. Get out of your shell. Wear something sparkly. Be wild, be strong, be silly. For being foolish can make you happy but being happy will never make you a fool. ~~ Michelle

Happy Almost Spring!! This coming Tuesday marks the Spring Equinox and in preparation for the first day of the new season I would like to wish you a brand new start, never-ending moments of poise and balance and a joyful tip over on the scale to the side of light. I wish you a new dawn, an eternal youth and a morning star to wish on. Whatever battles you are fighting, whatever stresses may come your way, may they melt away with the winter and may you be granted a time of new light and a new life where your wildest dreams come true. ~ Michelle

"Celebrating the Spring Equinox: The spring equinox is one of the four great solar festivals of the year. Day and night are equal, poised and balanced, but about to tip over on the side of light. The spring equinox is sacred to dawn, youth, the morning star and the east. The Saxon goddess, Eostre (from whose name we get the direction East and the holiday Easter) is a dawn goddess, like Aurora and Eos. Just as the dawn is the time of new light, so the vernal equinox is the time of new life." - from http://www.schooloftheseasons.com/spring.h

Welcome! If you need a shoulder, a friend or a virtual coffee at some point, drop by and say hello! I've been on sp for just over four months and am thrilled with the results and the absolutely incredible amount of support I've received. Now I need to pay it forward ... :)
