My weight has been yo-yo-ing all my adult life! And I'm really tired of it! I want to walk into a room and not feel self-conscious about my weight. After a lifetime of selecting clothes to conceal myself, I want to wear pretty clothes, try new activities & grab more gusto!

Update: I've been with SP for almost 5 yr. Lost the weight in 6 months. Rode the roller coaster of up & down the scale. Finally I'm ignoring the scale , making good food choices & exercising at least 30 min. 6 days/week. Period.

Most important lesson learned: The bad habits that made me fat the first time (and the 128th time!) will make me fat again. This must be a permanent change in my life.

2013: After DH got a new knee & I returned to all my bad habits, I sat around & regained nearly all the weight I had lost.

Started over 3 weeks ago and am now on Day 20 of a streak of at least 30 min. of exercise 6 days/week. Feel better! Clothes fit better!

It's always does. SP is the greatest! Just do it...and it feels soo great!

Exercise 5 times/weekly.

Drink 64 oz or more water daily.

Don't read while I eat.

I sold my business almost 5 years ago and retired early -- and I am no longer a workaholic! Hooray!

I live in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of CO. I was strictly an "indoor girl", but now love to be outdoors & active --biking, hiking, snowshoeing. I've just discovered Zumba Gold & love it!

Other Information:
I love to travel, attend live theatre, read mysteries and read success stories on SP.
My husband & I have 2 grown sons.

    Actually, I saw your blog about the washer fluid AFTER I had made the trip, but it's so funny--while on the road, I kept having to use the washer to clear my windshield, and I had the thought, "Oh shoot, I have no idea how much fluid I have in there... Hope there's enough!" I made it OK, but I'm going to have it filled before I return. So GLAD you're doing the Gratitude blog. I remember thinking when I started, "What have I gotten myself into? Do I really have 100 things to be thankful for?" As it turns out...NO PROBLEM! And it's great for keeping me positive. Enjoy the journey!

    Wow! Have you ever come a long way. They say that use is very important to recuperation, but a walk in 3 weeks! I admire your ambition and I do believe that having goals that fuel our progress is absolutely vital. So just be careful and when you do your walk, please pay attention to your body and don't set yourself back. For you it should not be a race, right?
