I'll just go into Columbine's kitchen while she's waiting in the car for me to leave!

My weight has been yo-yo-ing all my adult life! And I'm really tired of it! I want to walk into a room and not feel self-conscious about my weight. After a lifetime of selecting clothes to conceal myself, I want to wear pretty clothes, try new activities & grab more gusto!

Update: I've been with SP for almost 5 yr. Lost the weight in 6 months. Rode the roller coaster of up & down the scale. Finally I'm ignoring the scale , making good food choices & exercising at least 30 min. 6 days/week. Period.

Most important lesson learned: The bad habits that made me fat the first time (and the 128th time!) will make me fat again. This must be a permanent change in my life.

2013: After DH got a new knee & I returned to all my bad habits, I sat around & regained nearly all the weight I had lost.

Started over 3 weeks ago and am now on Day 20 of a streak of at least 30 min. of exercise 6 days/week. Feel better! Clothes fit better!

It's working...it always does. SP is the greatest! Just do it...and it feels soo great!

It's good to hear from you again! I'm away from SparkPeople about a week every month working at our ranch (no internet), but otherwise I'm here posting. Take care!

Wow...it's wonderful to hear from you! I'm so excited to see photos of your remodel...AFTER you recover from the grandkids. Remodeling is stressful & exhausting. Glad you like the finished product.

I'd love to see photos from your grandchidren's visit when it's finished. And the activities!

Yes,busy summer. I've been buried in important volunteer projects with more to come. And my 50th high school reunion is on July 7 & 8. I assumed the role of organizer & have talked with ALL the grads. It was a HUGE undertaking & it took me months to accomplish it! I mean who else gets to chat with ALL the students in their class? Well...since there are only 14 ....(I was teasing you all through that paragraph!). All are coming except 2 deceased and one who is very reclusive.

The week-end after that I'm meeting up with 7 college friends. So I'm having a great summer.

I swore off another volunteer task...but sure enough--in the silence-- I said, "I'll check into that." which always results in "I'll research, organize and DO ALL the work!" Arrgghhh.

Thanks for writing! Happy to hear from you!
    Love,
    Nancy

    Hey Girl, Whassup?!
Can you believe it... last night I FINALLY finished decorating the basement. Well, I can see that I need a couple more pics, one is looking awfully lonely on a big wall, but what I have is in place. Sooo glad to be finally done. I wanted to take pics last night, but I was just too tired. My grand kids are coming in a few days, so now I have to get busy getting things ready upstairs :). Boy do I ever have activities planned for them--EVERY day they're here, which will be until July 15. Then I'll need a vacation. :) You have any summer plans?
