I'll just go into Columbine's kitchen while she's waiting in the car for me to leave!

My weight has been yo-yo-ing all my adult life! And I'm really tired of it! I want to walk into a room and not feel self-conscious about my weight. After a lifetime of selecting clothes to conceal myself, I want to wear pretty clothes, try new activities & grab more gusto!

Update: I've been with SP for almost 5 yr. Lost the weight in 6 months. Rode the roller coaster of up & down the scale. Finally I'm ignoring the scale , making good food choices & exercising at least 30 min. 6 days/week. Period.

Most important lesson learned: The bad habits that made me fat the first time (and the 128th time!) will make me fat again. This must be a permanent change in my life.

2013: After DH got a new knee & I returned to all my bad habits, I sat around & regained nearly all the weight I had lost.

Started over 3 weeks ago and am now on Day 20 of a streak of at least 30 min. of exercise 6 days/week. Feel better! Clothes fit better!

It's working...it always does. SP is the greatest! Just do it...and it feels soo great!

Thank you for my goodie and the much needed pat on the back. You have been rocking the exercise thing. Your fitness minutes are in the stratosphere emoticon

I hate being stuck at this weight plateau emoticon

But you are sooo right. Ms. Scale is the last to know (dumb scale)

    Spark On, amazing one!

You may have left on your trip by now. I'll be back in VA with my grands in a few days, but right now I'm actually in London with my daughter for a few days. We're staying in a lovely Airbnb apartment right in the heart of the city THANKS TO YOU! You introduced me to Airbnb, and I am so happy. In a couple of days we'll take the train to Paris where I've booked a hotel, but it's easier to do so in Paris. I will post some pics of my "fun summer" when I return. And you too? :)

Hey, Nancy -- Just want you to know, I've been a bit lazy with my SP logins recently. I'm visiting my grand kids in DC area (VA actually). I know what you mean about practicing with the balance to counteract falls. My grand kids have me bike-riding with them now. Boy has that helped to get the balance back on track. I'm loving it. (It's been 2-grown kids ago since I was last on a bike.)

Yesterday, we spent 4 1/2 hours at the water park, with them doing most of the activity -- but I sure was bushed at the end of the day... and continuing today. :)

You stay with your hiking. That's terrific for every health issue, I would imagine. I was wondering how well the SP tracker worked. I don't rely much on my Fitbit -- it seems to record about 1/2 of what I do, but I still wear it all the time. Go figger.
