Cathy - Half my size

I am on my way to half my size. I began my journey at 243 lbs. :( But on my way to 120 lbs. :) ...and the journey unfolds...

In my first two years on SP (7/9/10-7/9/12), I lost 67 lbs of the 123 I desired to lose. I have a goal of losing the remaining 56 lbs in my third year...by 7/9/13.

My goals for the coming year...
1. Lose the remaining 56 lbs (becoming a normal BMI!)
2. Become a water drinker (drinking 8 or more glasses of water a day)

2. Become a water drinker (drinking 8 or more glasses of water a day)
3. Become a freggie eater (eating 4 or more servings of fruits/veggies per day)
4. Incorporate a new exercise routine that works with my schedule and that I can be consistent with that includes strength and cardio exercise
5. Complete the couch to 5K program again – and RUN several 5K's.
6. Work on my swimming strokes and join Masters Swimming
7. Begin bike riding – and participate in a tri-athlon.

So, the plan for Year 3...continue to track everything 100%. Allow the diet cola's as desired. Pursue more water, freggies, and exercise. Reward myself for accomplishments in these and other areas. Be good to myself. Spark on...let the remaining weight drop off...it will happen...I have to stay on the SP train...it is headed to my destination.

My Program:
I am eating within my calorie range every day (1250-1600 calories).

I am drinking at least 8 glasses of water.

I am sleeping 8 hrs nightly.

I am connecting with SparkPeople weekly, blogging and encouraging friends.

I am pushing to hit 10,000 steps daily and 10 flights of stairs tracked on my Fitbit daily.

Personal Information:
I'm from a small town in Ohio...near Cincinnati and Dayton.

I'm a mother and a wife...now a grandma, too!

I have three grown children...2 of which are married now. I have twin girls and a singlet son. I have 2 new granddaughters.

My family means everything to me.

Other Information:
I work full-time in accounting. I'm excited about getting my weight under control. It's been a real "monkey on my back." And I would love to be free of it...so that I can be all that I can be...physically and mentally. It's happening...I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you for the fitness magazines! That would be the perfect non-food thing to do on a day when I am tired...reading fitness magazines! Sleep will have to do, however!
