If we Believe, We shall achieve!!!

By loving the person you are on the inside, you will find strength to change the outside too. The more you put, in the more you get out, that doesn't just apply to weight loss, but life in general. I have short term goals, long term goals, and lifetime goals, the rewards for these milestones may be materialistic, but the true reward is total happiness, because everything else is just "STUFF"

Things I've learned about myself in the past year:

~Positive changes come from the worst situations!
~Making a difference for other people gives me twice the reward back!!
~I can step outside my comfort zone and still survive!
~Enjoying exercise is the key to sticking with it!
~I am stronger mentally than I think I am!
~If you think you can, you WILL!!
~Doubt is part of the process to building a stronger mind!
~Visual motivators... are huge motivation, but then become just visual once the motivation becomes habit!
~Fueling your spark will make it soar to a ROARING FIRE!!!
~Sometimes less is more and more is less!

** January 2010 **
Since starting sparkpeople I've lost 41 pounds with sparkpeople and am now on the homestretch! My original goal seemed an impossible task when I started, but here I am now striving for and additional 5 pounds and it's less than 10 pounds away! I'm resetting my ticker to reflect the pounds I have yet to lose and celebrating each tick that it moves...who knows when I reach that goal maybe I'll strive for another 5!!! :D

** 2009 **
Finally inside of the 10 pounds till goal weight, but after reaching that I'm striving for an additional 5 pounds!!! Satisfaction comes with reaching a goal, but striving to better ourselves is just one small way that we make progress everyday in life!

** An end to 2008: **

This journey thus far has had forks in the road, bridges that were closed, detours that had to be taken, plenty of flooded surfaces, traffic that was much slower than expected and many potholes that needed repair. Despite all of that it has been a year of learning that I can do anything that I set my mind to.

Motivation is a part of my life... I become extremely dedicated (at times maybe too much) but I believe that life is too short to not make the most of each moment we are given!! Anything is possible... if we believe, we shall achieve!!! Live by it!!

Hi Cookie - how has your week began? I'm being good and hoping I might get into the 139's tomorrow - we shall see. My new diet consists of lots of fruit and veggies and it seems to be working. You would think, as a veggie, that I'd be eating a lot anyway but I really have to work at it - especially at this time of the year. Seems so much easier to eat fruit in the summer.

Hope you got off to a good start!

Hi Cookie - I think you're right! I've got over my lack of motivation and did a 60 minute workout this morning. Might get in some ST later.
