The Insanity of Everyday Life

I'm looking for friends, other people who know what it is to struggle with life and the way it affects weight loss. Losing weight is easier, it seems, when you have others who understand because they, too, are going through the same problems. I'm looking for support in my efforts to slim down and hope to support others as well.

Losing weight is easier, it seems, when you have others who understand because they, too, are going through the same problems. As you can see from the pic on this page, I was once 436 pounds. Perhaps at one time I weighed more. I don't know. I just know that was the highest my weight ever was when I was weighed by a doctor. Worst of all, I had become diabetic. That was not something I had expected. But, I am glad to say, with the loss of weight was also the loss of the diabetes. I am proof that you CAN beat Type-2 Diabetes.

For the last few years I have been regaining and losing the same 50 pounds. 50 pounds!?!? That is insane. It's time for me to take back my life, to lose that weight plus more, and to keep it off!

My Goals:
My goal is to become healthier, to lose more weight and finally get off this plateau where I have found myself for years. After regaining 50 pounds of what I had lost from my highest weight of 436, I decided it was time to become serious.

My Program:
Healthy eating and exercise. That is my program.

Personal Information:
My name is Jane, and I'm from Athens, TN. I have a BA in history. I currently work 3rd shift in an office for a distribution center for Kroger. I've been in a relationship with a wonderful man for 3 years now, but we unfortunately live 2 hours apart and have limited time together, Thank God for cell phones!

Other Information:
Having grown up in the South, I grew up with that wonderful Southern cooking, much of it fried, from my Mom, and Greek and Italian cooking from my Uncle George.

"Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it all you might.
Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality.
Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your objective. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

You said you've been fighting and struggling every day. I see that as a really good thing, because if you're fighting and struggling, that means you haven't given up. So YAY for you, you rock! Have a healthy week!
Hugs,
Pixie

"What do you think will be more effective when it comes to succeeding, believing you can, or KNOWING you will?
Let today be the last day you took timid steps of belief and start taking confident steps of purpose-driven knowing!

Happy Sunday. Hope you're summer is going great. Are you still on track to do all you can today to reach your goals tomorrow? If so, great! If not, what can you change today that will help you feel accomplished? One little thing. Drink more water? Cut out soda? Go for a walk? Small changes add up.
