Feel Better - Look Better

I am 21 year old wife and mother of 1. Over the last 4 years I have gained 40 lbs. Since I had my daughter it has been very hard to lose it. I am determined to kick this weight gain in the butt before it gets any worse !!

My Goals:
Weigh 140 or less within 6 months.
Wear single digit jean size.
Feel good when I look in the mirror.
Run 1/2 marathon on 7-4-2010!!

My Program:
I do my strength training 3x/week. Usually mon-wed-fri at the gym. I run every morning except sunday. I either run 3ish miles or do speed intervals. I have recently just purchased a bike, but I think it is to small for me and I dont know how to ride a 21 speed. Also I walk in the afternoons with a friend, about 5 miles. Somedays when my daughter is napping I like to throw in a workout video. Also I am now on 1200-1550 cal diet, thanks to sp, but usually I can't even hit 1000.

Personal Information:
I am from a small town in NE. By small I mean 3500 people tops and thats big considering the smaller 100-400 pop towns around us. I live in the country surrounded by cornfields and dirt roads. It's so beautiful and peaceful at 6am. The only sounds are your feet hitting the ground and the birds song.

Other Information:
Being Fit Tastes Better Than ANY Food!!

It sounds like you have a really solid fitness schedule! Your runs sound really fun lol. I ran into a deer one time back in Maryland but that's about it lol. I'm trying to get back into running, but its been a slow process... right not I'm running about 15 minutes (trying to get fast before I start going longer again) and then getting on the elliptical after for 30-40 minutes about 3-4 times a week. 2 other days I try to either swim, play tennis, get on the elliptical, or do yoga. I was ST 3x a week but to be honest I've kind of fallen out of the habit - I really gotta work on that!

Thanks for reading my blog and the comment. As for doing your measurements always measure at the widest point. I measure my neck (about middle) chest (under where my bra fits me) waist (right at the belly button) hips (widest part which TMI at hair line) thighs (widest point which is usually about 3 inches down from pelvic) calves ( widest point which on me is about 3inches from bend of knee. I only measure once a month usually the same time each new month (the 2nd for me) I use a measuring tape that I use with my sewing things. I keep it all wrote in a journal.

Good Luck with your measurement! You will get there! I see we have the same goal almost exactly as I was 170 and my goal is 130. So keep up the good work! You have the first 10 gone thats a start. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY!!
