Still learning, still trying! :)

I've been on SP since January 2009! I'm still struggling with ups and downs. I know I will figure this out eventually. :)

My goal is to making healthy eating and exercise a lifelong habit. I've had ups and downs over the years, and want to make it stick this time. 2010 - 2011 were incredibly painful for me. My brother died, and it appears I failed at a goal I've been working toward for over a decade (my PhD). I am figuring out how to pick up the pieces and move on and what comes ...

I need to remind myself that I'm worthy and can do it. It is all up to me.

On the bright side, I had my second son in late Oct 2011. We are all healthy, happy, and employed. I'm learning about veganism and really like it. Thanks for stopping by!

I'm learning how to incorporate healthy eating and exercise into a very full life and calendar. So far, I can't quite fit it all in!

Currently living in Queens, NYC! I work full-time, doula when I can, and enjoy my family. I'm also transitioning to become vegan and I really love it.

Thanks for your comments on my page. Just wanted to you know in case you notice on my feed that I made fish chowder, that it was for my parents. I took some stuff out of their freezer to make for them. Neither of them can manage a meal or even menu ideas. They're going to be getting veg food from now on along with what I clean out of their freezer. Once it's cleaned out, I'll be pretty much determining what goes on their plates.
