I am a wife, mother and grandmother. Over 65. I was diagnosed with Type 11 diabetes in 2000. Put on medication and did well until I had a medical trauma. Taken off all of my diabetes medication and a few other.
I've had to take control myself without medication.

The Step Diet is a safe, sane, logical way to progress from where you are, to where you want to go via baby steps, i.e. reaching 10,000 steps a day or more, but only increasing daily walking by 3-5mins per week to do so. Brenda Willis did; she lost 140+ lbs on The Step Diet, AND she did it in her mid 40s, AND she has kept it off 7+ years. She had been overweight most of her adult life, and always on a diet, prior to The Step Diet. True Lifestyle Change! April our founding team leader did a great job of setting up all the informational threads for the team, the whole program is listed in the threads; there is also a book you can order from Amazon, "The Step Diet"; I haven't been able to find it in secondary (used) book markets but a couple team members have.

This Lifestyle Change is about learning energy balance; how many daily steps equal weightloss, and when you're maintaining, how many steps equal a piece of dessert, etc. Welcome! Carol
