Hi! My name is Lisa....Thanks for stopping by my page .Originally I joined Spark to lose 12 lbs. I had fought to lose for some 10-15 yrs. before my 40th b-day which at the time was 2 yrs. away. But it didn't take that long. Between using the Food Tracker and Motivation Spark provided to really exercise consistently, I was finally able to lose the weight and reach my goal weight...on the very day I found out I was pregnant! Hi! My name is Lisa....Thanks for stopping by my page .Originally I joined Spark to lose 12 lbs. I had fought to lose for some 10-15 yrs. before my 40th b-day which at the time was 2 yrs. away. But it didn't take that long. Between using the Food Tracker and Motivation Spark provided to really exercise consistently, I was finally able to lose the weight and reach my goal weight...on the very day I found out I was pregnant! Fast forward through a healthy pregnancy and wonderful little girl entering my life at the age of almost 39 yrs. old, I now continue to work on my goal of being healthy, fit and strong and at my "dream" goal weight of 120 lbs. I know that with SP I will be able to do it!
January 2010: I lost 2 lbs. DURING THE HOLIDAYS! I really got tired of all the junk food so it wasn't that difficult, but I'm glad to go back to more healthy meals now! I still have a lot of work to do!
December 09: Finally USING the Spark Nutrition Tracker and finally seeing my weight go down....EVEN DURING THE HOLIDAYS! Yeah!
November 09: The holidays are upon us. still maintaining, but looking forward to beginning weight LOSS! Can I do this during the holidays?
August/September/October: ahh...still not losing weight while nursing, just struggling to maintain. But nursing is just temporary, January will probably be the end of nursing baby, so I'll just try not to gain weight til then and keep eating healthy and exercising. :) Babies grow up so fast, I'm just going to enjoy my time feeding my baby the best food for her.
July Update: Ahh! Nursing baby and sitting still too much, I've gained a little weight. But hopefully it won't be a problem as I now begin to exercise again. Baby is finally getting into a schedule where I can sorta plan my exercise time.
April 30th: Baby Sydney arrived! She's a beautiful baby! A great pregnancy and safe and healthy delivery. Pregnancy weight gain topped out at 26 lbs. Within week and half of delivery I was back down to 129 lbs.- only 4 lbs. from my pre-pregnancy weight! As soon as exercising is do-able, I will be hitting the gym to get the jelly belly back in shape! I'm sure that being in shape b4 pregnancy has allowed me to get so close to my pre-preg. weight so quickly! I am changing my new goal weight to 122, to provide myself a little more challenge!
Feb/Mar/April: Gaining weight! As of April 18th, I've gained about 25 lbs. which exactly where I hoped to be. Baby Girl should be here on April 30th! Yeah! I can't believe how fast this time has gone! I can't wait to see her!
JANUARY 09: 24 weeks pregnant today and scale is at 134.6---that's about 9.5 lbs gained so far at almost 6months preggers. I'm on target for about a 25 lbs. total pregnancy gain. Can't wait til the 4-D ultrasound Feb. 3rd!!!
DECEMBER UPDATE: We found out we're having a girl! Yeah!
I've only gained 5 lbs. so far and I'm 5 months prego. Not bad I guess!
OCTOBER UPDATE! : I'm so glad I lost the weight w/ spark people as I found out the day I solidly reached my goal, that I was pregnant! I'm now about 3 months along and doing great. I'm due May 5th, 2009. I know that w/ Spark I'll be back to my goal weight in no time!
MY ORIGINAL SPARK INTRO: Lisa here... I'm here to keep myself on track with my eating. In March I was able to go back to the gym and weighed in at 138.5 When I joined SP I was at 137. My first goal is to be at 125 lbs. Losing 12 lbs. may not sound like much, but it definitely takes FOCUS, which tracking calories and exercise provides me. I look forward to making progress with my 40th birthday goal. My 40th may be 2 yrs. away, but why wait!??!
August Update: Since starting Spark in March, I've gone from a Size 10 to a Size 4! I finally made it to 125! If I could offer any advice it would be to WRITE down your goals! Not just here on your page, but in a journal or notebook...just write down all your g
oals and be specific. It's great to go back later and check off your achieved goals!!! There's just something about it.
TO LOSE 2 LBS.!!!! DONE!!! :) YEAH! I actually lost 3.5 lbs.!!!

1. Lose weight & reduce body fat.
2. Build muscle through consistent strength training.
3. Increase energy!
4. Eat fresh, eat healthy, eat to live, not live to eat.
Eating: Eat more live food than cooked and processed and stay within my calorie range. To eat at least 5 fruits and veggies a day and limit breads/pastas/sweets.
I love the elliptical trainer and strength training.
GOAL: 30 MIN.-1 HR. EVERY OTHER DAY
I Love circuit training---- Making the Cut! I did this program for months of May/June08 with great results.

Married to my high school sweetheart and we have 3 great children...ages 23, 21, and 2 yrs....yes that is correct...not a typo. Little gap between the boys and my sweet little princess. :)
I used to work part time as an ESL teacher, but now I am a Stay at home mom, since we moved to Lexington, KY for hubbys job.
I enjoy reading, tennis, swimming, cooking and I am very blessed! :)
I am thankful for my health and never want to take it for granted...I want to do my part to take care of me so I can take care of my family.
