I seen your post on the board. You and I are similar creatures. I am currently at 291, my heaviest was 313. You mentioned that you know that you can do this, but you need motivation. I'd be honored to be your Sparks buddy.
I hated myself too. Counseling has helped me with that. Another group I belong to is TOPS. There is probably a local chapter in your area, you might check it out for additional support. Exercise also helps lift the mood and makes you feel good about yourself. Sparkpeople recommends doing something for 10 minutes a day. There are lots of videos including chair exercises on the site. Hi, I saw your post on the board. My heart goes out to you and I am going to make some suggestions to you some of which may be heard to hear. First of all are you just interested in losing weight or are you committed? I see a lot of "I can't" thinking. If you think you can't you can't. I suspect you have a lot of hurts to heal - there is a reason that you haven't been able to make the commitment. Because of this you might want to try some counseling. Do you believe you deserve to take care of yourself? Do you love yourself enough to lose weight? Sparkpeople has all the tools you need to do it but the rest has to come from within you. You have to decide number one that you are worth it and number two that you will do it- no excuses. We all have our personal struggles that prevent us from truly committing.
