I am trying to get back down to 115 lbs but am doing that in baby steps. I am eating better than I used to and still trying to improve.

I am a mother of 3. I have a full time job. I am home schooling my children. I am a full time student at the university. I may start honors course work in the spring semester (if they are at times I am not working).

Busy busy busy and Go go go. Here's to my journey! *toasts*

My Goals:

True Motivation/ Larger Goal: To be able to be active without (as much) pain.

My Program:
I am drinking more water and tea and less coffee and soda.
I am phasing out processed foods and refined sugars and replacing them with home made things and more whole foods -including some raw foods-.
I have also been using Advocare products.

Personal Information:
I'm originally from Southern California but now residing in Anchorage, Alaska. I hope to be moving (with a good job in hand) back down to California after my degree (in another 2-3 years).

I used the Deglet Noor (spelling) I usually use the Medjool ones.

These were almost the same very sweet I think. I had soaked them for several days maybe 4 dqays but it was only because I haven't got around to using them, just being lazy. LOL

Very delicious after thinking about it and realizing that pecan pie is sweet in itself it was very much like the cooked one.

Kudos to you for joining us here on the Raw Foodies Team. This will be one of the best decisions you have ever made. Sparkers come here and join this great team for a multitude of reasons. They may be curious about the health benefits of Raw Food and join to learn all about eating Raw. Many join for the weight loss. Many join the Team for a Detox. There are a great many people who do the Raw Food Diet as a Detox but then they realize how alive they feel and how the pounds melted away so effortlessly they decide to continue to eat this way. There are others who will join this Team for the health benefits of a Raw Food Diet. A diet based on raw food can reverse diabetes, arthritis (I personally have experienced this.
