I can really do this!

I'm a work in progress. I struggle with insomnia, anxiety, and stress. I'm working on the idea that food is much more useful as fuel (and offers much less in the way of emotional salve) than I've previously accepted. One goal of this journey is to be present and aware, as well as to be kind to myself. This is a daily struggle, but one that seems to get easier with practice.

I'm a graduate student, a teacher, and a lover of beaches, books and sunsets. Always busy, I have been finding that consistent exercise also functions as "me" time. I need to be better about not letting myself off the hook. While I may not want to go out for that run, I *never* come back regretting that I exercised.

My Goals:
-Actively and carefully reach my goal weight to be firmly in the "normal" BMI range for my height; to be more fit, active, and healthier

-Get 7 hours of sleep per night on a consistent basis

-Learn to set and reach attainable, intermediate goals


My Program:
-Food and fitness tracking!
-Biking, running, other cardio, and starting some strength training
-Sticking to a reasonable bedtime
-Dealing with anxiety-causing issues in small, manageable chunks and making incremental progress

Personal Information:
I'm perpetually overbooked and need to learn to make time for myself.

I need to learn how to say No to some things so that I can say Yes to the things that I really want.

Thanks for stopping by. Not nearly as well-made as the original. Lesson learned. But it will do for mow. Wish I could go in the morning before work, but hat is just not possible, so back to Sundays for that. Still trying to get to the gym after work. Time tells all.

Hope all is well in your universe. Keep drinking the water. I have to find a better way to pace that, as I am in traffic for two hours comng home, and that just does not work!
