On October 15, 2008 I came to Spark looking for support as I worked toward a healthier, better life.

In my first four months, I managed to lose 15 pounds and drop at least two pant sizes. I also started eating cleaner and really thinking about what and when I eat.

I finished my first 5K in July 2009 and I'm addicted to running. I have my list of races for 2010 and am aiming for a Triathlon in August. I am also practicing ...

I just started the Body for Life/Transformation 2010 plan on February 1, 2010 to work on getting strength back into my body.

I am also focusing on myself this year. I know that I need more calm and relaxation in my life so I am aligning my actions and words with that purpose.

My Goals:
1) Complete Body for Life Plan (Feb 2010 - Apr 2010)
a) Buy great clothes to show off new body/stop being afraid to show my body

My Program:
To change and grow a little bit at a time.

Now it's time to push myself, keep learning to eat better and continue with extreme self care.

Other Information:
I love cooking, writing, scrapbooking, organizing, music and learning about any of the above.

I am a self-help and spiritual work junkie, as well as a historical fiction and Science Fiction addict. Reading is its own obsession (I mean hobby) in my life.

I work at an office job (from my home) but also I freelance as a theatre technician from time to time.

Hi! Thanks for your comment on my page! Yep, competitive synchronized swimmer. I was in crazy-awesome shape back then! At some point I'll change my page from a yoga to a synchro theme :) So, synchro is an AWESOME sport, I love it! It's like running underwater, upside down, while holding your breath :) You should definitely try it - and no, you won't sink to the bottom. You basically need to learn some sculling (arm) movements and that helps keep you bouyant...and do lots of holding your breath drills. In terms of more information, I suggest Googling for a masters team in your area. You can check USAsynchro.org but I don't think they link to Masters teams right now. Hopefully there's a team in your area that you could check out!
