I am happily married and live in southeastern Virginia. I have 3 grown children, two grandsons and a granddaughter. When I went to the doctor for a routine cholesterol check November 2007, I discovered I weighed more than my 5'10" husband and knew that something had to change.
I started an exercise class 3 days a week. It's a 30 minute class that includes cardio, strength training(pilates) and weights. I lost 5 lbs in 4 months doing that alone. In April 2008, I found sparkpeople and ...

Hi,

In a thread about organic food, you mentioned using Sevin dust. Do you know about the issues of Sevin dust and bees? If not, Sparkmail me and I'll send you some links. If it gets on their feet, bees can carry it home and it can kill the whole hive-- but there are simple ways to reduce that risk.

Thank you for your help on my message bored post. You gave really good advice that I will start to follow, like spliting the chicken in halfs. We love to BBQ and cutting them before grilling is a great idea. Thank you

I hope to try the Weaver Fever. Hope it does not drive me crazy. may try it next year. I also wanted to tell you, if you ever go on a cruise again , have everything with ginger, its better than dramamine! I was able to go on a cruise in a big ship as well as a small boat and I did better with the ginger than the dramamine! ON the cruise if they had ginger in any meal I ate it plus had ginger capsules. I managed three day cruise and a 12 hour ride looking for Whales! was the best experience I ever had on a sea going vessel. And I am usually so sick that I dont enjoy a cruise, but the last two times were great! (I get vertigo plus seasickness.) But ginger helsp so much! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thank you for commenting on my SparkPage. I am sorry if I overreacted. I got really riled up by the responder before you and may have taken it out on you some extra. I am sure you meant well.

Good luck to you on your journey as well.

P.S. - That kitty picture you have on your page is just adorable! He looks like a short-hair version of my own kitty - who also enjoys flowers.
