I live on a small farm in a 175 year old house with my husband, a pot bellied pig named Louis, and an angora house bunny named Neville. Our goal is to be continually moving toward a more healthy and sustainable life.

Other Information:
Things I love: knitting, spinning on my custom wheel, gardening, cooking, reading YA Lit, anything homesteading related.
Things I dislike: having RA
Things I hope for: chickens and goats, becoming a published author, health

Hi gal! I saw by your blog on the side of the RA team that you have RA too. What a nasty disease this is and I can relate to you with not being able to exercise like you'd like. Me too! I've been on Prednisone and other weight adding drugs with having RA and it's not easy to lose weight, that's for sure. My heaviest was 232 and 3 months after that I accidentally stumbled across SP, back in 8/11. What a blessing it's been but not a miracle. I've lost 67# total and have gained about 12# and am trying to lose that all over again! I've lost 5# of it and I keep bouncing around and around. I won't ever give up! I happen to love to eat and who doesn't?? I tend to like sugar too much and I know that that's alot of the problem. I've done just about everything to curb it and that works for awhile and I'm back craving it! I've been waiting my my RA med. Humira to kick in after being on it before and have had to stop it because of an infection, so I'm patiently waiting for it to kick in once again! Once that's working well, I can move around better and walk alittle more and get on my recumbent bike longer, etc. But I still have pain and always will have some. It's part of there not being a cure, yet anyway! I added you because i think we have alot in common. We have a dairy farm so we love our animals too! Well, I've rambled on enough. Come and visit me and I'll put the coffee on! emoticon
