I am continuing my journey to be medicine free and I will succeed.......

June 2015.......

I am looking forward to the Summer Challenge. During the next 8 weeks I hope to meet the 5% goal and develop some good habits. I will do this by eating a plant based diet and my favorite exercise, walking. I will also do some strength training at least 3 days a week.

Update January 1, 2013.........

I decided it was time to update my goals or fine tune ...

Update January 1, 2013.........

I decided it was time to update my goals or fine tune them. My goal is still to be medicine free but now I see I must put my plan to get there in writing.

Habakkuk 2:2 says Write the vision and make it plain.

In the first phase of my plan for this year I comitt to tracking my food daily and exercising at least 10 minutes every day. I know just doing these two things will make a big difference in my health. That is all for now. I will update my plan as needed. Right now the biggest need is for consistency in these two areas.

My Goals:
I have joined 5% Summer Challenge. I hope to gain healthy habits by participating in the activities.

Exercise Commitment

Strength Training at gym 30 minutes three days a week.

Cardio Walk Mon-Fri at least 30 minutes each day.

Cardio Sat/Sun. I will use a machine at least 30 minutes one of the days. The other day will be a rest day.


My Program:
I will follow John McDougalls Maximun Weight Loss program. I'm increasing my starches daily.

Track Track Track - this is my weakness. I will continue to try and do it.

You know, cutting rock and mountain is a slow work. Sometimes it looks as though nothing is happening.
Speaking the sureness of this work is a must, keeping us focused on this truth rather than what we do not see happening.

Oh, to trust that inner voice rather than the doubt! Speak, speak, speak – let the echoes resound and fill us to full and echo again!

Keep pushing - never give up!
