I am turning 60 in August, but I am NOT slowing down!

I love walking and biking all over Germany, and the surrounding countries. I love to travel, and am blessed to be able to do it at this season of my life. Another passion I have is baking for my co-workers and friends.

My God continues to be my source of strength, peace and everlasting joy. He is my gracious, redeemer, my friend and my enduring, wise counselor. Without Him I am nothing. He gives me purpose to my life. I am a SOLD out, unashamed conservative Christian called to work in a school setting.

I am excited about what God has planned for me, and thankful that He loves me so much.

Glad to see your are adjusting to being single again...it isn't easy after being a couple for so long. I did pretty well for a good while, but this past year has been a struggle for me. Been gaining and losing the same 10 pounds over and over for months and getting really frustrated, but refusing to give up. Of course, like so many people, I am making this new year's resolution to get it together and lose the weight. I am doing better lately and getting back to my old self after having a bout with depression over last Winter and ever since. A lot has happened in my family including a heart attack (my Dad), a death (Brother-in-Law), knee replacement (Sister-in-Law) and also a new baby born to my Niece. All of that took place within 4 months, not to mention all that had to be done during and after all of that. My Sister-in-Law and I are leaning on each other since we are both alone now. The new baby is her Great Granddaughter and she is a great help to keep us laughing.

ON this journey we all need help. Here is a prayer I say to help me. I share it from my heart to yours:
Dear Lord, I look to you in patient expectation. Renew my strength like the wings of eagles.

Help me and uplift me by the power of Your Might. Then I shall go forth in strength and wholeness. I shall run and not be weary. I shall walk and not faint. Amen

A New Year's Prayer

Lord, You make all things new
You bring hope alive in our hearts
And cause our Spirits to be born again.
Thank you for this new year
For all the potential it holds.
Come and kindle in us
A mighty flame
So that in our time, many will see the wonders of God
And live forever to praise Your glorious name.

Amen

Blessings,
Ruthie CML team
