Cute As A Kitten

What a privilege it is to be part of SparkPeople! I have met a lot of nice & encouraging people, and I have had the chance to encourage also. The team spirit is really evident. What a joy it is to be a part of my teams (see below)

I grapple with the ups and downs of losing weight. It is mostly going down though - slowly. In that way I hope it sticks as I add some healthy habits to my life.

My Goals:
I need to lose 50+ lbs. in order to be healthy. Now that I have found this site I am motivated to eat healthy things. And then ... after that I would like to go on a beach vacation!

My Program:
.First I am concentrating on getting some healthy food habits. One thing at a time works for me!

Stretching everyday, usually 15 min.

Playing with my cat!

Slowly will work into a walking/cardio program.

Cutting down on carbohydrates & sugar.

Personal Information:
I live in Delhi, NY, upstate NY in the Catskill Mtns. Very rural, but I can walk just about anywhere. I am divorced with 2 adult children. Love to read, anything from biographies, to Christian literature. I love my church family, and singing. I am loving all my buddies I am connecting with here!

Other Information:
I forgot to say that quilting and music are my passions!

I started WW and have lost 9.6 now. Slow but a loss every week.

Have you gotten all moved in?

So nice to hear from you. I am having a great summer. Lots of time with our grandchildren and many more happy times.
Lots of quilts on the go, too many and so many more brewing in my thoughts. LOL I have had lots of finishes and I took a bra making course this summer. Lots of fun with some great ladies and the two bras I made fit so well. Plan to make some more.

Good to hear things have been looking up and you're feeling better. Great job on the 10-pound loss. I know how hard it is. I know how exhilarating it is and how it drives a streak for you. You just want to keep going, and not stop. Even though you know, in reality, it will stop at some point because it has to, and it isn't really healthy to keep losing 10-pounds every week or month, even if it was possible.

You'll get there, just like I am getting there. Keep turning your feet forward and you'll get there before you realize it.
