Hello Spark Peeps. It's exciting to join online to this program for weight loss. The big 6-OH birthday arrived this spring and put me in a resolution mode.

My goal is to lose 60 pounds or more by my 61st birthday in a healthy manner. "The Spark" book caught my attention and was a gift from my daughter. Now that is motivation!

I'm a grandmother of 2 fun loving grandsons, a mom of a son & daughter and a wife for 30 plus years. This program has me pumped! = SPARKED!

Personal Information:
On a routine wellness check, I mentioned my weight struggle. She replied: "Try SparkPeople.com. It works. I needed to lose after having my child. I am telling you the program works." I do not have the doctor's name. I mentioned this to my daughter. She gave "The Spark" book to me as a gift. Reading led to trying things online. I have organizing to do. The fact is by trying the program just in June and part of July that I have lost weight! It is the first program that has worked for me. It is a blessing. Spread the word.

    Good Morning,
    Yes, I did make the quilt that is the backdrop on my page. I enjoy sewing of all kinds but especially quilts. It is sort of a family heritage. There have been quite a few people who sew in my family, including one of my male cousins.
    I'm fairly new to sparkpeople too. Just joined in February. It seems I finally found something that works for me as far as weight loss goes. I think being accountable for everything that goes in my mouth did it. When you see it in front of you and you know when your daily calories are gone, it is sort of a wake-up.
