I am a retired nurse, I have 5 children and 3grands, my husband is pretty grand too, I love college basketball, AND FOOTBALL, THE RED SOX ARE MY FAVORITE BASEBALL TEAM AND BOSTON IS MY FAVORITE CITY, I LOVE TO CROCHET BLANKETS

Don't give up because if you are doing all the right things it will happen. Losing weight is like taming a strong willed child -- you just have to decide who is in charge and then take charge girl. You can do it! And you are worth it! I had a tough time on a plateau and found out I wasn't eating enough. When I got on the Spark People diet and hit right at 1200 calories it works for me. Also, I was exercising but unless I burn at least 200 calories a day plus NEAT exercise -- it just wasn't happening. I also have added resistance bands -- that is an easy strength training that has helped me. (NEAT is having an active day just shopping or doing housework, or whatever. ) Maybe this will help you -- don't mean to be presumptuous -- but just wishing you all the best!

It is good to see you willing to give this a go. No one can do it for us, but it sure helps to be with those who experience the same difficulties and triumphs.

Here's a test for you. To REPLY to this, or a message from anyone in this area of your Spark Page, click the button that says MY SPARKPAGE. That will take to that person's Spark Page. Then go to their COMMENTS section and answer them. That way, they will see your answer to them. If you answer someone on YOUR page, they will not see it, nor will they get notice you answered them.

We still mess up and answer on our own pages, but it is kinda like talking to yourself. emoticon
