I'm a 50 year old mother of 2, British, currently living in Antwerp, Belgium. I have been overweight since having my children. I have always been reasonably fit though, training for and running half marathons. 2 years ago I damaged the tendons in my ankle and I struggled to do any proper exercise for several months. Coupled with not watching my eating habits, it resulted in me gaining a lot of excess weight. I have about 50lbs to lose and I'm hoping SparkPeople will help.

My Goals:
1. To lose weight and regain fitness.

2. To complete a half marathon
26 May - Brussels 20K




My Program:

1. Walk at least 1 mile every day, as well as specific half marathon training.
2. Get enough sleep.
3. Cut out as much sugar and processed foods as possible.
4. Use the SP nutrition tracker diligently!

I need to get in touch with my friend and try to pry the recipe out of her. She is writing and cookbook and keeps her recipes close until it is published :) I'll let you know once I get it..

Thanks for checking in, Dawn. We just got back from a 2-week road trip (see my most recent blog), and had a great time. Luckily we avoided all the bad storms.

Here it seems like summer has arrived! The garden is doing great, but it is just too hot already! Glad everything is green there.
