"Though no one else can guarantee your success, you can guarantee it by making the commitment to do whatever you must do. You can guarantee it with your intention, your focus, your action and your persistence. Today, tomorrow, in any place, whatever the situation, you can make a difference, for your own life, and for your world. Grab that opportunity, make the most of it every chance you get, and you'll guarantee your own success." -- Ralph Marston
Thank you for commenting on my blog, "My 3rd Monday Weigh In." Have a healthy day!
I tried to leave a reply on your comment on my activity feed but it would not let me save it! This is what I wrote: Sorry, couldn't understand this sentence, are you saying you don't think we should track gardening, or you just never thought of it as exercise? It's on the search list as well as a lot of other things...like bowling for instance! It's all exercise! ;) As long as I burn calories I track it!
I saw your question on the 40 something message board. I am vegan. Have you been a vegan a long time? Sometimes it's hard in the beginning. I would recommend forks over knives and happy herbivore cookbooks. There is also a message board on this site specifically for vegans that will give you good ideas. It's pretty easy to get your protein as a vegan if you plan your day in advance. An example of a day of meals for me: vega one smoothie for breakfast, lunch is beans and rice, and dinner is stir fry with veggies, beans, and bulgur or quinoa. We vary it quite a bit but that's one example. Good luck. You can do it!
