A Healthier Me
I want to have a healthier heart and be in the best shape of my life. My goal is not only to lose the weight, but to keep maintaining this as a lifestyle. I fractured my ankle Nov. 2010, and learned during the time I was in crutches that I previously took walking/running and fitness for granted. I now have a new outlook and want to change for good. I run now, and love it very much. I don't want to ever stop getting outside on my two feet and want to keep enjoying ...

I run now, and love it very much. I don't want to ever stop getting outside on my two feet and want to keep enjoying the scenery. I want to run a marathon someday, too! One day at a time, I'll be closer to that goal.

My Goals:
Being physically strong and toned. Go down 4-5 dress sizes. Be able to wear cute clothes again! someday: run the L.A. Marathon and the Honolulu Marathon, like my father ran back in the '80s ============== Finished races: 5K- November 6, 2011 Santa Clarita Marathon (finished 34:07) (one year after my injury, and my very first 5k!) 5K- June 2, 2012 BMCF Fight It! 5K Santa Clarita, Ca (finished 37:47) 5K- November 4, 2012 Santa Clarita Marathon (finished 35:00) 10K- February 24, 2013 Los Angeles Chinatown Firecracker Run (finished 1:20:36) -my 1st 10K! 5K- May 19, 2013 Santa Monica Classic (finished 36:37)
My Program:
I run approximately 15 mi/week; Cross-train (usually elliptical machine) and weight training twice a week; walking as much as possible up hills and stairs. Being mindful of what I eat (portion size, learning to eat slower, paying attention to balancing meals) every day. More veggies!

Born and raised in Southern California. I work in the movie industry as a visual effects digital artist.

Some things about me: *Happily married to a man I adore and look forward to growing old with. *I LOVE good people, music, art, hiking, camping, travel/exploring, ancient civilizations, cafes and wineries. Plus lots more! *I work a lot but love what I do; I think that it is very important to pursue your dreams.
