I want to have a healthier heart, a toned body and to be in the best shape of my life. My goal is not only weight loss, but to keep maintaining this as a lifestyle. So far, so good!

I fractured my ankle Nov. 2010, and learned during the time I was in crutches that I previously took walking/running and fitness for granted. I now have a new outlook on life.

I love the outdoors. I don't want to ever stop getting outside on my two feet and want to keep enjoying the scenery.

As of June, 2017- instead of my regular strength training at the gym, I've joined a CrossFit gym with my husband. So far, so good!! I really enjoy the combo of strength, agility, endurance. Let's see how far this goes!

I also love to hike, bike, swim and run when I get the chance to.

I love cooking and eating delicious healthy meals, which can be a setback for me because I just enjoy the good taste of my own creations. Even though I eat clean (no junk food for me, I'm over it!) I still tend to indulge a bit with my portions so I'm working on that.

Everything is a work in progress!! And I believe I will reach my goals eventually. I'm feeling great, and that's the most important thing.

My Goals:
Being physically strong and toned.

Having lots of fun while exercising and eating well.

Go down 4-5 dress sizes. Be able to wear cute clothes again! Ultimate goal: wearing a bikini on the beach and feeling great about it!!

someday: run the L.A. Marathon and the Honolulu Marathon, like my father ran back in the '80s

My Program:
Doing fun activities like hiking in the local hills, bicycling, running, swimming, hilly neighborhood walks. Crossfit class 5 days/week.

Being mindful of what I eat (portion size, learning to eat slower, paying attention to balancing meals) every day.

For a while now, I eat clean, meaning I focus upon eating 'real' food and I cook for myself most of the time. Mostly veggies and lean protein, some fruit and whole grains. No refined sugar. Food with absolutely none or minimal processing. I've gotten to a point where I never crave Cheetos or fast food, ever. I don't even want to drink soda anymore either.
