My 50th birthday I weighed 460+. In April my Dr. said LOSE WEIGHT OR DIE. When I joined SparkPeople, 05/2009, I weighed 450. It's been an up & down battle, but I won't give up. I lost down to 300 & went back up to 410. THEN I GOT SERIOUS. Along with my "serious sisters" I am working my "weigh down" the scale.I WILL succeed! Won't you join me & Love Yourself Healthy?!

My Goals:
My long term goal is to reach my goal wt of 185. Ultimately, my goal is to be the healthiest and happiest that I can be & to continue to be an active member of the YMCA Aquatic staff. I teach water aerobics & swim lessons!

My Program:
Use portion control. Use the SP fitness & food trackers daily. Do at least 60 mins cardio, 30 mins strength training & chair march 10,000 steps daily! Stay active on SP finding & sharing motivation. Stay honest & positive while letting go of shame.

Personal Information:
My name is Dawn & I live in Martinsville VA.
I am involved in 2 awesome private Spark Teams that help me with my program. The 1st team is called: FRIENDly Persuasion: a safe haven for friends The 2nd team is called: The Path to Freedom--Loving Ourselves Healthy BOTH teams are "friendship" teams. The 1st provides a stress-free environment for loving, inspiring & supporting one another. The 2nd is similar but geared towards people that HAVE or NEED to lose 200 lbs or more. Persist

Crowd out poor health habits. Choose activity before TV. Eat 3 veggies first for each meal. You will crowd out the less healthy choices.
