My Wife and I are loving this site. I finally get to see what I have been putting in me for so long and how it was affecting me. I am now Food Conscience! What a great motivator this website is. I started in January on a diet and last month found Sparkpeople and at the present 5-25-06 I am 255 w/ clothes and shoes on!!!! I aint stopping there either!

I actually got down to 238 before leveling off for 2 years @ 240. I am back into losing more weight now as of 3-17-09.

Hi. I am in Texas, not Ft. Bragg but I know there is a walking club in your area if you are interested in participating in local events on a regular basis. I do similar walks every weekend. We are not "fund raising" clubs, we are for fun, fitness and fellowship. Our clubs are family oriented and most events are baby stroller, and pet friendly. Our object is to keep a record book and collect a stamp for each event that we do. I've done over a 1000 of the 10K events in Texas and in 46 other states. Thanks for the advice. Maybe after I run the 5k I might try to switch it up, but right now I am doing some kick butt treadmill workouts and if I lift before, I have zero energy for my run. And when I have a bad run, it depresses me more than a bad weight lifting session. Plus after the 5k, running won't be such a priority!

Thanks for the flotation device, I won't be caught without it when I'm near the water. I met the nicest lady at swim classes. She & I are going to get together for walk/runs. You meet the nicest people on trails, in pools, & while biking. Thanks for being one of the best!
