HEYY!!! It's been a long time. Yes, my daughter is a big girl now. She just turned 9 years old. We were feuding about my healthy eating choices and since I buy the groceries she was hungry for a few days refusing to eat but we're finally settling in and it's good for me to compromise. We're all learning together. And even better- it's a lifestyle change right? That means we stick together. 33 days ago
The project for craft night was fun. I am very happy with my end results. They appeal to the minimalist in me. That said, you should see what someone with an eye for color can produce!! 36 days ago
Thanks for stopping by my book blog. I definitely have searched for expert diet advice. Too bad I don't read the books.
I stopped by our library yesterday and in my wanderings, discovered "The Mature Mind" by Gene Cohen, MD, PhD. He's a gerontologist and this book is about four phases of development after age 60. It is an easy read and so far I am loving it.
When I first started caregiving, I read a book called "No Saints Around Here" by Susan Toth which helped me greatly. She cared for her husband with Parkinson's and the book helped me realize my feelings were all perfectly fine, no matter what they were.
Like you, I believe there is so much more to health than what I eat. And as for weight loss, the only diet that works is the one that works for me. 61 days ago
