I Started SP the end of Jan. 2009. Briefly, I have always had some issues with my weight. I had had some success with diets, most notably WW where I was able to get down to 138 very briefly and settled into 143 comfortably. My lifetime WW weight goal was 153 which was easily bypassed at that time.

So in the years after WW I struggled just to keep from zooming totally out of control.

When I found SP in Jan. I was determined that this was not a diet. A beginning yes....the first day of the rest of my life sort of thing....but no end....this is a healthy lifestyle quest and it has to be habits that last forever. So at this point, I haven't met my weight goal quite yet....I have met a lot of fitness and appearance goals and I have met myself metaphorically and I really like this new friend.

1 Drink at least 8 glasses of water /day
2-Measure and track all food- increase sv of wh. grains & fish.
3- consistant exercise- do usual 5 mil walk daily Run every other day.
4-ST with spec attn to core.
5- stretch with spec attn to IT band.

Good idea -- especially since we know food is not just about the taste. Going for the full sensory effect might just bring a new level of satisfaction.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. If fitbit counted the steps, then yes (LOL). Today we walked in the neighborhood. No rain -- hooray -- but we encountered a dead deer on the walking path on the edge of town. Yuck!

Today's a good day for an old movie though I did get a glimpse of the sun a minute ago. Then it was gone.

Thanks for the encouragement on my blog. Do you think an old dog like me can still learn?? I seem to struggle every month and do away with my successes. I know that isn't totally true but my self sabotage each month means I am even slower than a turtle!! I'm so much better after a very successful day yesterday. The sleep didn't happen (special thanks to Tony).

I hope you got a run done!!
