I Started SP the end of Jan. 2009. Briefly, I have always had some issues with my weight. I had had some success with diets, most notably WW where I was able to get down to 138 very briefly and settled into 143 comfortably. My lifetime WW weight goal was 153 which was easily bypassed at that time.

Sadly, I made the huge dieters mistake of thinking of it as something with a beginning and an end and once I was no longer tracking all my food and exercise I fell back into old habits.

So in the years after WW I struggled just to keep from zooming totally out of control.

When I found SP in Jan. I was determined that this was not a diet. A beginning yes....the first day of the rest of my life sort of thing....but no end....this is a healthy lifestyle quest and it has to be habits that last forever. So at this point, I haven't met my weight goal quite yet....I have met a lot of fitness and appearance goals and I have met myself metaphorically and I really like this new friend.

Tony continues to rule the household. We are all just thankful he's benevolent.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. That evening of painting and wine was very pleasant. The instructor was quite different than the person I had leading class previously. This one listened as much as she lead. No one's painting was the same and that is just how she wants it.

I'm glad you had good family time for Easter. Ours went well. My stepmother was quite calm and pleasant (very different from the day we cleaned when she got so combative). Holy cow, though, that lady pounds the candy down. She eats chocolate like there is no tomorrow -- because it's good for your brain she says. That just makes me chuckle for a number of reasons.

Hi, Thanks for your message. I know I won't entirely be able to erase my stretch marks, and that's okay. It's a reminder of what I went through for my kids. I had them both by C section also scars I don't mind but it taking me long to build my abs: /

Thanks for your comments on my blog. I am guardedly optimistic about the new PT. It is a relief that we aren't at the end of the road for John. I think the only thing we haven't tried is chelation therapy which was suggested by one on the chiropractors. Neither of us felt very comfortable with that idea.

I heard news yesterday that a former co-worker passed away. He and I started at the school I retired from at the same time. We worked on opposite ends of the building so I didn't know him well but he was younger than us and has been having cancer treatments for the past year or so. There was so much hope last Fall and now he is gone. It reminds me how fragile life is and makes me thankful my loved ones are still hanging in there.

Tony does know a thing or two about comfort, that's for sure.
