DOWN 100 POUNDS!
I have had a weight problem most of my life and would love to lose back down to 130 pounds, which is an ideal weight for me, but realistically, I will probably never reach that goal. I would be thrilled with 150 lbs.
My weight has gone up and down most of my life, but it has gotten out of control in the past 12 years.
I have 2 children, Brent 30 and Brittany 21, a 11 year old grandson, Blaze, and a 6 year old granddaughter, Ashton......we lost her identical twin on June 22, 2008. Emily is gone but will always be in my heart.
I love horses and have always felt guilty about riding because of my weight, even though I can tell that my horse Ringo (a 15hh gelding) has no problems carrying me. I think I would be a more confident and better rider if I lost weight. Mostly, I just want to look better, feel better, and be around to watch my grandchildren grow up and have children of their own!
I think the thing that makes it hardest for me to lose weight is being around so many people who are junk food "junkies." I have very little resistance to sodas, chips, dips, and pasta when I am surrounded by it so much.
One of the best decisions I have ever made is to join SparkPeople. I have made some wonderful friends here who are so supportive. I have never known this kind of support before. I think the thing that makes it so helpful is that everyone here knows what I am going through, because they are also going through it. There is no better motivation than sharing this journey with people who are there to support you and let you support them. I never want to weigh 360 lbs. again!
Weigh 150 pounds again.
Lose 2.5 - 4 pounds a week.
Walk every day
Eliminate sodas from my diet
Drink more water
Do cardio and strengthening 3 times a week

Spending time with my two children and grandchildren.
