I am simply crazy about running. Some people think I am just crazy, except those around me who love to run also.

I started off just wanting to run a 5K to see if I could do it and well, I got hooked. I completed two 5K's and one 10K and I am currently training to run a half marathon. My ultimate goal is to run a marathon one day.

Because of my new found love of running, it has helped bring my blood pressure into check and give me the calm in my life I so desired.

My Goals:
Setting small goals this year.

Goal 1: Lose 15 pounds by the end of the year.

Goal 2: Run Hartford Marathon in October

My Program:
Cardio: Running 5 times a week making increases to meet goals to run a marathon.

Eating: Min 8 glasses of water a day, making sure I have minimum of 5 servings of fruit and veggies a day.

Personal Information:
Happily married for 31 years.

Three fabulous kids, 25, 22 & 17.

Avon lady fo 10 years.

Other Information:
Love gardening and quilting. Neither which I get to do enough of in my eyes!

Running has become a love of mine now and because of that I am able to meet goals I have not been able to in the past.

It just got here yesterday. :-) I will drop it off tomorrow when I am doing my deliveries.

That is good that Barry is logging. I really hope he sticks with it.

So did you get your run in at the gym? I think you will need to hit the gym all week. It doesn't look very good.

I did get on my bike yesterday afternoon. I picked up a stationary bike from a lady down the street at her tag sale for only $35. I did 8 miles. I feel very good since my cold was making me not be able to breath through my nose well. But this cold is moving fast most of the night I was stuffed up but I woke up this morning and could breath. I still have a cold but it is better.

Something is telling me that you will be able and ready to do it. I have day 2 of moving again I did some strength this morning. Nothing huge because I am fighting a cold. Just some free weights on my own. I did plan on doing kettlebell but I don't want to push it and end up in bed for a few days. I kind of wonder if it isn't my body trying to fight the fact that I am starting to work out again. LOL

That is good that he joined. That can be a scary thing to hear from the doctor. I hope he sticks to it.

Thank you for my goodie. I just did a rolling walk and let it speed me up and slow me down. However it was moving and that is what matters. I need to stop letting everything else put taking care of me aside. I need a schedule for myself also. I think that will help.

OH and WOW on the 1/2 marathon! Do you have one picked out yet?
