I am simply crazy about running. Some people think I am just crazy, except those around me who love to run also.

I started off just wanting to run a 5K to see if I could do it and well, I got hooked. I completed two 5K's and one 10K and I am currently training to run a half marathon. My ultimate goal is to run a marathon one day.

Because of my new found love of running, it has helped bring my blood pressure into check and give me the calm in my life I so desired.

My Goals:
Setting small goals this year.

Goal 1: Lose 15 pounds by the end of the year.

Goal 2: Run Hartford Marathon in October

My Program:
Cardio: Running 5 times a week making increases to meet goals to run a marathon.

Eating: Min 8 glasses of water a day, making sure I have minimum of 5 servings of fruit and veggies a day.

Personal Information:
Happily married for 31 years.

Three fabulous kids, 25, 22 & 17.

Avon lady fo 10 years.

Other Information:
Love gardening and quilting. Neither which I get to do enough of in my eyes!

Running has become a love of mine now and because of that I am able to meet goals I have not been able to in the past.

Hey good morning. How is your day starting today? It was nice that Barry came with you yesterday.

We stayed through the raffles but did not win anything. Plus I was waiting for the print out for Syd and I to get our place numbers over all. However they never put it out for what ever reason. My sister said they get it up on line pretty quickly.

I was a bit sore and stiff this morning so I did some yoga. Instead of the work out I was planning on doing.

Syd is just nervous. I know she will enjoy it when we are there. Not sure if we will keep doing them after this weekend. We will have to decieced. I know all of us would like to do a family mud run.

My day is starting good I picked up a kettlebell yesterday & it came with a dvd so I tried that this morning. It is cool. I might look for another dvd to use with it. Walked Nate to school. I am about to make some potato salad for dinner and I have to take out the stuff to make my chili for tomorrow. Or I might do some chicken in the crockpot instead. I have to choose. But we have the kids karate tournament so I need dinner to be easy to put on the table when we get home. Have to help with a pizza party at JFK then move Nate's old bed to Vernon with my sister we are giving to a church member that has been in a shelter for 2 years but now has a job and found a roommate so he needs a bed.

I am looking forward to Sunday and just having fun doing the 5k with Syd walk or run I don't care she talks while we are out together and that is what I like the most.

Well I am glad it is nothing serious. I am blessed for the most part over the years if Russ was sick he just would stay in bed and not want to be bugged. He is starting to ask for things now from time to time. But he really doesn't get sick so I am still pretty lucky.

It was chilly this morning. I am resting today. I walked Nate to school and will walk to pick him up and that is my movement for the day. I too have a lot to do around here. I should have had to back to back sign ups today only one never confirmed and the other needs to reschedule. UGH!

I am happy it will more then likely not rain on Sunday. Syd is already saying she shouldn't do it because she doesn't feel she is ready. I just keep telling her we will be fine I don't care how long it takes us or how much we have to walk. She gets herself so worked up.

So I am redirecting my day since I have no sign ups now. To be sure to get things accomplished. I hope you get things done also.

Good Morning. How is your day starting?

Mine is pretty good. I went for a walk first thing this morning. I didn't go every fast or far either. However I moved and I did a curcit training video yesterday so a slower day is good for me. I will also walk Nate to school this morning.

I am thinking about you guys. I hope everything is ok with Barry.

Good Morning. How was the rest of your day yesterday?

My morning is starting off well. I am having a Dannon Greek yogurt for breakfast and I will have some kind of fruit. Russ is home (well he will go golfing at some point) so I plan to go for a 4.1 mile walk after I drop Nate off at school. (walk him to school). Than I will do some arms strength training when I get home. That is what I am thinking anyway. I may check when he is going so maybe I will do a curcit training video instead if he is leaving early enough.

So what is your plan for today?
