Who have I been? Who am I now? Who do I want to be?

I have been a visitor at SP since January 2009. I have had ups and downs with my weight and health. While I enjoy the outdoors and being active, I have allowed other things and people to take precedence over me, my needs and desires. Currently I weigh exactly the same as I did in January 2009 - 172 lbs. At only 48, I see and feel my health deteriorating quickly. I have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, digestion problems, ...
Who have I been? Who am I now? Who do I want to be?

I have been a visitor at SP since January 2009. I have had ups and downs with my weight and health. While I enjoy the outdoors and being active, I have allowed other things and people to take precedence over me, my needs and desires. Currently I weigh exactly the same as I did in January 2009 - 172 lbs. At only 48, I see and feel my health deteriorating quickly. I have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, digestion problems, sluggish colon, low energy, loss of balance and poor posture. I feel if I do not do something about myself now, I will never be able.

I have chosen the word "giving" to live by this year. I am "giving" myself permission to be me. I want to be confident, healthy and fit.
Eventhough I am only 5 ft. 3 in., I am going to feel as though I can jump and touch the moon when I reach my goals!

Goal 1-Run 5K
Goal 2-Lose 10% start wt

My Program:
Reduce calories to 1300-1500 per day. Eat healthy. Rookie Running Program 3 days week. 30 min Pilates other 3 days week (wk 1) and 1 rest day.

Personal Information:
I live in a very small town in south Louisiana. We will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary this April. My husband and I have a son, daughter and son-in-law. We enjoy camping and dancing.
