My weight is stable at 157-160. I have a lot of loose skin that weighs a bit but at my age getting that to shrink may be a problem. I will keep working on it.
My left knee was replaced Jan 6, the right knee on April 3. I'm now walking up to one hour going up into the hills above my house. It's a good challenging walk for me.

My Goals:
I just need to maintain my weight while strengthening my knees. My blood pressure is much better. I'm off the diabetes medication and my blood sugar is doing wonderfully. Even my cholesterol is good. I'm to be scheduled to have a parathyroid removed since my pth and calcium both are too high and I do have kidney stones. Later in the year I may have kidney stones and gallstones removed.


My Program:
Now that most of my weight is off, Dr. Nair (barriatric surgeon) wants me to walk at least 30 minutes 6 days a week in order to maintain my weight. The barriatric dietition wants me to stick to 60 grams protein, around 105 carbs. The knee therapist want me to walk to increase my knee strength along with doing my knee exercises. A parathyroidectomy will be scheduled soon.

My name is Delia and I live in Oregon. I'm now 60 years old, married to my weird wolf husband with have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. Not working now and finished with school so trying to simplify my life.


Other Information:
Walking and knee exercises take up a lot of my time. I still read and watch TV with hubby.
