Determined to Succeed!

Weight has always been a battle for me and Spark has been a helpful place to keep me focused on my health journey. It does help having others who truly understand how hard this really can be and I love my SP teams and friends!

I went on "Shape Reclaimed" through a Nutritionist in October, 2013 and lost 87 lb. by March, 2014. It quit happening so I went off program mid July, 2014 to give my body a break. Unfortunately I let the stress/emotional eating get to me and I gained about 50 back. My own fault. I am going to restart the program (March 2015) and get that back off and maybe even more. I don't regret the huge jump start I am giving my health using this program at all after years of doing the right thing and not having results because my adrenals, thyroid and pituitary weren't working properly. However, I must make a strong effort to have plans to not let myself fall back into these familiar patterns.

I have to constantly work at reminding myself that I am worth it as self-esteem was trashed during childhood. I know I am, but the bad stuff is easier to believe sometimes.

In August 2014 I signed back up with the gym I had gone to prior and committed to time with a trainer 2x/week for six months. I am now signed on for 1x/week with the trainer for 3 months (March 2015). Making me a priority in this!

The doctor said to put warm moist compresses on the area of the vein. He said that while blood clots in the legs can be dangerous, they aren't in arms since the veins of the arm are considerably smaller than the deep veins of the legs. He said that after about a week of treating the vein, it should be considerably improved, but there is a possibility that there may be some residual hardness for quite a while.

Yes, red dye 40 is bad. I have a friend here though that keeps her autistic son off sugar all together and feels it makes a huge difference. Not sure what the background on that was but she 'preaches' it so that is why I made my comment. I agree - sugar isn't good for any of us.

Yes, a foam memory pillow that was 'too' full. It even felt too full at the store but what it said on the box made me believe it was right for what I needed. Not making that mistake again.

I have a memory foam pillow that I think is broken down to the point of not supporting my neck the way it used to...time to replace it is what I'm thinking.
