I'm Back and Still on Track!

June 6, 2013 my official RETIREMENT date! I am enjoying retirement immensely and still keep myself as busy as if I were working. Been absent from Sparkpeople for a couple of years and have missed my sparkfriends so very much. I am back stronger than before! My goal is to lose another 40+ pounds and to get off my blood pressure meds. Thusfar I have lost 30 lbs in one year by following a low carb lifestyle which best suits my needs. I walk at least 3 times a week for 40 min or more. I eat low carb and smaller portions.

My program is just healthy eating. Lots of chicken, fish and pork. Limit my beef to less than once a week. Of course, fruits and veggies. Exercise 6 times a week. emoticon

Auxilary pioneering is an excellent goal to have. It's great that you are taking that first step to meet that goal by getting yourself physically prepared to do it! I'm really looking forward to our Memorial campaign. My circumstances do not allow for me to auxilary right now either, but these campaigns make it so easy to increase our share and our joy! emoticon

emoticon on the trainer and new diet. I have been juicing kale, carrot and apple every morning. Lunch was a green salad, purple hull peas and whole wheat toast. Supper will be pasta primavera or veggie tacos.

Thankfully I no longer have hot flashes, quite the opposite.
I was hot all my life and now past menopause, I am cold. Funny how that works!
