Hi Dianna,

Thanks so much for your warm welcome!

I am single and struggling to lose my last 30 pounds! Started at 220 then after having to be put on steroids for a disease I developed I shot up to 243 weighing reaching my highest weight ever. I have worked hard and gotten myself down to 194 pounds...but running out of steam!

Hoping for the fellowship of other 50+ trying to lose weight.

Thank you for welcoming me to the site. I am actually not here to lose weight, that my friend would be a wonderful added plus. Weight lose is secondary to first learning to control my diagnosis's through diet. I am here due to a recent diagnosis of lactose intolerance and fructose malabsorption. I am very happy to finally have a diagnosis for my unbelievable abdominal pain (started my doctor odyssey two years ago). Just the same, I am a little lost on how to proceed forward. I have just purchased a book called "food intolerance" by michael zechmann and genny mastermann. I am ready to embark on the road to recovery with my new found tools. I must do a twenty-eight day elimination period and needed a daily food journal. Your site will not only help me accomplish this, as I research further and see my dietician (first appointment) on July 8th, I can customize it just to my needs. Should you have any information on either lactose intolerance and/or fructose malabsorption though websites, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you again, Sue emoticon
