To become fit and healthy

I am on a health quest to both lose 37lbs finally and become physically fit. My goals are to find a balance between exercise to keep my weight managed and strength so I can be a better cross country skiier when I go home and play golf. I love golf, skiing and kayaking. Each require strength, flexibility and strong heart/lungs. I love yoga, enjoy walking/running and weights......my goal is to take an hour each day and focus on things that help me.....logging, SPARK, meditating and ...

I find the 5 running/walking in intervals seems to help me and keeps me fit without injuries. My biggest weakness is sugar and chocolate. I would be skinny if it weren't for those two sins :-) Hugs

My Program:
I am using Yoga/Qigong to help BE in my body. I use P.A.C.E, biking and walking to burn calories; body pump twice a week (weight training); TAPPING (EFT) to reset my thinking; meditation using both guided, transcendental and Joe Dispenza's work to really enter the river of change to a FULLER and NEW me.....I juice and Nutribullet daily in some form for nutrition and healing....and of course SPARKPEOPLE :-)

Other Information:
Life is glorious opportunity to learn, grow, experience and CHANGE. We are the only species that can watch and observe ourselves, our thinking and CHOOSE a better mind....very kewl

I receive much wise counsel through the Holy Bible. Scripture is full of wisdom for all, whether they are a believer or not. Here is the wisdom I receive today as I prepare for April's focus on developing a willingness that makes me able to succeed:

Isaiah advises us, "For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, 'In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.' But you were not willing" ~ Isaiah 30:15.

We miss out on good things in life when we are unwilling to cooperate in doing what is needful for achieving the good we desire. God through Isaiah tells us that our consenting to cooperate with laws, rules, guidelines, etc., leads to our eating "the best of the land" (Isaiah 1:18-20). Willingness to do what we must for what we want is a necessary mindset for overcoming temptation and the failure to achieve. Develop a willingness to do what it takes within the boundaries of what is good, right, and true, and you will go far in life.

"If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself" ~ John 7:17.
