Hello! I need to finally get serious about losing a bit of weight. I'm a mom, a wife, an attorney, a Cub Scout leader, and a Girl Scout leader. So, with all of that, my eating strategy is basically whatever I can grab - which translates into "I sort of meant to have a salad but this cookie is quicker." My resolutions typically last about a day. Help!

Hi! Just wanted to check in to see how things were going with you! I have not been doing great. Have not gained any weight, which is good, but not heading toward my goal anytime soon.
A co worker and I are starting a low carb diet tomorrow, just for a couple of weeks. We shall see how it goes. I need some kind of a jumpstart and it is easier if you can be held accountable for everything you eat!
Hope things are going well for you. What kind of surgery did your dog have? Just wondering because I happen to be a Veterinary Assistant.

Hi! I totally understand about falling off the wagon! I have been doing the same myself. I am so exhausted after a full day of work! I also injured my ribs about a month ago, crashing my bike. They still hurt and I cannot work out like I want to.
Do you do the weekly weigh in? I am trying to at least do that. We need to motivate each other! Sometimes what helps me is to picture myself in cute clothes, looking exactly how I want to look. Looking at myself in the mirror in my underwear also helps motivate me! LOL!
1lb a week is totally doable. You can accomplish that! I would like to lose about 20lbs. I think I eat OK. The weekends go down the tubes but I think that happens to a lot of people.

Thanks for writing! It's nice to know that I am not the only one! It is very hard when you work and have a family that requires your time. I cannot work out in the morning since I get up at 5:30 already, and I am really not a morning person!
Keep me posted on your progress! How much do you want to lose?
