Di's Journey Back to Health

Once an athlete I've let life move on without me. No more! My goals are simple, stop eating out, lose 30 pounds and get back into shape so I can walk a 1/2 marathon next summer and join a seniors softball team!

Update: I have now lost 42 pounds, weigh less than I did when I graduated high school and feel fit and trim and healthy! Thanks Sparkpeople, couldn't have done it without you!!

Thanks for the positive, encouraging message at the "Maintainers" Team check in yesterday! I love the ocean pictures and your "fitness lifestyle" success makes me smile. Best wishes for continued health and walking that marathon!

I pretty much leave my walking to the local trail systems. Way to hard on my joints to walk on pavement. If they would do a half marathon on the Ridgeline or Mckenzie trail systems I would love to do one. Put about 8 miles in today on the Ridgeline. Wish you well on prepping for and doing your half M this year!!

Thanks for my goodie.
Yes, the colonoscopy report was a relief. Thank you again for your support and for sharing your personal stories beforehand. emoticon
